Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced traditional barber to join our currently female team. 2 days a week minimum. The ideal candidate requirements are; classic barbering techniques and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves providing traditional haircuts mainly and some skin fades, burst fade beard trim etc to a relaxed clientele, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers. Ability to handle a busy walk-in trade and happy to work alone. Guaranteed money. £140 a day rate regardless of takings. plus tips which are very generous in the shop.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality traditional barbering services, including some skin fades & beard trims
- Consult with clients to understand their styling preferences and provide excellent customer relations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the barbering station in accordance with health and safety standards
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
- Keep up-to-date with the latest grooming trends and techniques in barbering
- Time efficiency essential for walk-in client trade
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly sterilised and maintained
Requirements
- Proven experience as a traditional barber
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proficiency in hair styling, grooming techniques, and use of barbering tools
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism
- Valid barbering qualification recognised within the UK is preferred.
