Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring the treatment area is clean and organised.
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories.
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations.
- Assist with stock management, including ordering supplies and checking inventory levels.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices relevant to dental healthcare.
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling.
- Organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
