Be more than the numbers. Help shape the future of our business.
We're looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Gasway Team at an exciting and transformative time. We're evolving the way we work and building a future-ready finance function that plays a central role in driving performance across the business.
This is not a traditional reporting role. We're seeking someone who enjoys partnering with people, influencing decisions, and turning financial data into meaningful business insight. You'll work closely with leaders across the business, helping them understand performance, identify opportunities, and make confident decisions that support growth and profitability.
What you'll be doing
As a trusted business partner, you'll build strong relationships with managers across the organisation, providing financial expertise, commercial challenge, and practical support.
You'll:
- Partner with operational and departmental leaders to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the business.
- Produce insightful management accounts and performance analysis.
- Help managers understand their financial performance, KPIs, risks, and opportunities.
- Support business cases, investment appraisals, pricing reviews, and strategic projects.
- Highlight trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for improved profitability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and reporting.
- Support strong financial governance and control within a growing business.
What we're looking for
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CIPFA) with experience in management accounting, FP&A, or commercial finance.
Just as importantly, you'll be someone who can build credibility with stakeholders, communicate complex information clearly, and confidently challenge thinking when needed.
You'll bring:
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills.
- A commercial mindset and a passion for translating data into action.
- Experience partnering with operational or commercial teams.
- The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools.
- A full driving licence.
Why join us?
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a visible impact during an important stage in our business journey. You'll have the chance to help shape new ways of working, influence key decisions, and work alongside talented colleagues who value collaboration and fresh thinking.
