Code Ninjas Aylesbury is looking for an instructor with experience in EYFS education to create a fun and safe environment where children ages 5 to 7 can explore basic coding and STEM activities. The Junior Instructor will be responsible for monitoring and teaching the Code Ninjas JR programme as well as developing curriculum to support their technological development.
Schedule (~10 hours per week):
Saturdays ~8am-2:15pm and Mondays 3:30-7pm. Potential to work additional shifts with our older students if desired. Holiday camps and other marketing events may also require onsite at times during holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Create a positive, safe and fun environment in which students can grow
- Learn and teach Code Ninjas' JR curriculum
- Develop/modify STEM activities to support JR and camp curriculum
- Assist with other events such as Camps, Birthday parties and special events
- Follow opening/closing and cleaning duties
- Communicate with parents about the programme and their child's progress
- Involvement in promotion of Code Ninjas on social media and in-person
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working with children ages 5 and up in a teaching environment
- Enthusiastic about working with kids; mentoring and teaching
- Patient, kind and understanding
- Works well with others; collaborates and takes pride in their work
- Upbeat and fun individual with a passion for technology and learning
- Some basic coding and technology familiarity
- Able to communicate effectively with parents

We run Coding and STEM Education After-school Clubs for children aged 5-15 years old under the Code Ninjas umbrella. We're passionate about kids developing the skills they need to thrive in the digital economy, while having fun building computer games. Kids have fun, parents see results.
