Job description – Wedding Bar Manager
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the bar for weddings here at Lodge Farm including the P&L and managing the bar team.
- Meeting and building relationships with each couple. Creating a bespoke bar plan for their wedding, from wine choices to Mr & Mrs Cocktails
- You'll run each wedding from start to close and have keyholder responsibility
This is an ideal role for a graduate or someone looking to step up into a management role.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring excellent standards of customer service are delivered consistently throughout the couples wedding experience from enquiry to planning and the wedding day itself
- Development of the beverage offering including cocktail development, wine list and bar menus
- Stock control & cellar management
- Managing, training and motivating team members
- Setting the venue up with chairs, tables and hire items
- Accountable for COSSH, Food Safely, H&S, licensing regulations and duty of care to customers and colleagues
- Management of EPOS system and cash reconciliation
- Liaising with suppliers and the event organisers
- Key holder responsibilities including closing up and locking up at the end of the night
- Assisting with the set up and running of the annual pumpkin pop up event and managing the F&B offering for this event
What you’ll bring
- Experience as a bar supervisor managing a team
- Genuine interest in customer service excellence
- Strong team player, highly confident and positive
- Polite, personable and organised
- Self motivated and able to work well unsupervised
- Experience in bar and cellar management preferred
- A willingness to develop systems & procedures
- Strong knowledge of cocktails and wine is an advantage
What we offer
- We usually do one to two weddings a week, so you'll work one to two late nights a week and they won't be back to back.
- Opportunity for overtime according to wedding bookings – up to an additional 15 hours per week.

This is a great job for someone looking of their first management role – there is responsibility for a P&L and managing people but in a very supportive environment where the owners are hands on. This would be an ideal first job for a graduate with experience working in bars.
You’ll need to be able to get to work yourself as there is no public transport here and have the right to work in the UK.
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
