The Company
You’ll join a global consulting organisation working across strategy, design, technology, data and AI. Based in Central London with hybrid working, the role also offers flexibility across Manchester and Glasgow. The business partners with major organisations to modernise data environments, improve governance and create the trusted foundations needed for analytics, AI and digital transformation.
The Role
As a Data Strategy Consultant - AI & Governance, you’ll help clients define how data should be governed, managed and used to support better decisions and AI adoption. You’ll work across data strategy, governance, data quality, metadata, lineage and master data management, turning complex data challenges into clear operating models and delivery plans.
The role is available at Consultant and Senior Consultant level, with increased responsibility for workstream leadership, client influence and coaching at senior grade.
You will:
- Advise clients on data strategy, governance and AI-ready data foundations
- Design data governance, quality and MDM operating models
- Translate complex data issues into practical recommendations
- Support delivery of catalogues, lineage and stewardship solutions
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and data scientists
- Lead client workstreams at Senior Consultant level
Requirements
Must-Have
- Experience in data strategy, governance, data management or MDM
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills
- Understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage or stewardship
- Experience with data governance or management tooling
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
Nice-to-Have
- Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama or Microsoft Purview
- Exposure to AI governance or AI-ready data preparation
- DAMA or similar data management frameworks
- Centralised or federated data operating model experience

- Consultant salary: £45,000 to £55,000
- Senior Consultant salary: £60,000 to £70,000 plus bonus
