Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs within a school environment?
DegreeSix are working with a welcoming mainstream school in Peterborough that has a dedicated SEN provision supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, SEMH and learning difficulties.
This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Behaviour Mentor who is confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small intervention groups, and within mainstream lessons.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, Learning Difficulties
- Delivering targeted interventions and small group work
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Working closely with teachers and the SEN team
- Helping pupils access learning and achieve positive outcomes
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working within a school environment
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs
- Calm, proactive and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
