Service Team Manager
Location: Alcester, Warwickshire
Salary: £30,000 - 33,000, per annum
Working Hours: Fulltime, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Job Type: Permanent
LDA Support is growing, and we are looking for a Service Team Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for supporting, supervising and maintaining the quality of our support-worker workforce. This is not a traditional registered-service manager role. LDA supplies temporary support workers into customer services, so the focus is on people leadership, worker quality, safeguarding and operational escalation, customer relationships and making sure that the right actions happen when something does not go to plan.
What you will do -
- Lead and support LDA support workers, including supervision and performance management. Act as a key operational contact for customer service managers.
- Respond to concerns about worker conduct, reliability, practice or placement suitability.
- Act as the operational safeguarding escalation point and work closely with the LDA Safeguarding Lead.
- Support new-customer mobilisation and confirm operational readiness before go-live.
- Work alongside the Scheduling Coordinator to resolve recurring staffing and continuity issues.
- Follow up incidents, complaints and customer feedback and make sure agreed actions are completed.
- Help us spot patterns, improve standards and maintain strong evidence of workforce quality.
- Participate in the LDA 1-in-3 on-call rota, covering 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM for seven days during your allocated on-call week.
What we are looking for -
- Experience managing or supervising people in social care, healthcare, staffing or a similar service environment.
- Confidence handling performance concerns and difficult conversations.
- Good safeguarding awareness and sound operational judgement.
- Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
- A practical, organised approach and the ability to prioritise when several issues arise at once.
- A full UK driving licence and ability to travel as required.
- Experience in learning disability/autism services or temporary staffing would be particularly useful.
What we offer -
- Salary of £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience.
- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
- £100 allowance for each on-call week, paid in addition to basic salary.
- A growing organisation where the role has real influence over service quality and how we develop.
- Support from dedicated Scheduling, HR, Recruitment and Training functions.
- A role focused on leading people and improving quality rather than simply filling shifts.
