A lasting impression is just as important as the first, and as our retail assistant we need you to make sure our customers leave happy, looking forward to their next visit. You will be confident interacting with the public, have good attention to detail, and work well with our team to give our customers the very best experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serving customers at the till & on the shop floor
- Greet customers with a smile, always paying full attention to the customer
- Advise customers on our products, and help them to find the right one for them - you will be helping customers to shop for garden furniture, solar lighting and gifts alongside our core gardening products
- Approach & guide customers through the sales experience
- Checking off deliveries & stocking up the shelves when required
Your Skills & Experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Merchandising experience would be helpful but not a requirement
- Customer focused at all times - you're able to prioritise and organise your workload to put the customer first
- Garden Centre industry experience would be a bonus, but not essential You will need to be available to work 5 days including weekends and our busy Bank Holidays, however we do close the Garden Centre between Christmas and New Year to allow our staff to spend quality time with their families. You will complete a 12 week trial period with regular appraisals before this becomes a permanent position.
