About the role
We’re looking for a high-impact Group Finance Business Partner to lead our forecasting and performance insight across the Group and invested businesses.
This is a senior, visible role for someone who brings gravitas, confidence and commercial judgement to shape the conversation around reporting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring finance is a true partner to the business, driving better decisions through meaningful insight, challenge and accountability.
You’ll lead a small team of Finance Business Partners, setting the standard for what great looks like, while building strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders and business owners.
What you’ll be doing

Own Group forecasting and reporting, leading the budgeting cycle, forecast reviews and monthly management pack, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful and action-focused

Move the conversation beyond reporting, turning financial data into clear commercial insight, challenge and actions that drive performance

Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, building regular, high-quality engagement with business owners and the executive team

Balance influence with challenge, knowing when to stand firm and when to find pragmatic commercial solutions

Lead and develop 2 direct reports, setting expectations for ownership and quality leading by example

Drive meaningful performance conversations, ensuring risk, opportunity and accountability are clearly understood across invested businesses

Oversee financial modelling and forecasting capability while supporting the transition to a future FP&A tool

Improve reporting and processes – raising the bar for insight, consistency and value across finance
What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a commercial finance or FP&A leadership role

Strong track record of engaging and influencing senior (C-suite) stakeholders

Someone who brings presence, credibility and confidence in challenging discussions

Ability to go beyond commentary and deliver meaningful, actionable insight

Experience leading and developing Finance Business Partners

Strong financial modelling and Excel skills

Ability to balance commercial compromise with appropriate challenge

Qualified ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent

2nd stage: In-person interview at our Derby office with the hiring team
