Digital Marketing Executive
We are looking for a creative, commercially minded Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing team.
This is a varied, client-facing role covering paid advertising, social media, email marketing and content creation. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and improving digital marketing campaigns that generate measurable results for clients.
The successful candidate will be confident managing Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) and Meta Ads. You should also understand how advertising, content, landing pages, email marketing and organic social media work together as part of a wider marketing strategy.
You will need to be organised, creative, analytical and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, create and manage campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads.
- Conduct keyword, audience and competitor research.
- Manage advertising budgets, bidding strategies and campaign schedules.
- Monitor and improve campaigns based on leads, sales, cost per acquisition and return on advertising spend.
- Create and manage organic social media content across relevant platforms.
- Develop social media content plans and publishing schedules.
- Write engaging advertising copy, social media posts, emails and website content.
- Produce creative campaign ideas, briefs and content concepts.
- Create basic visual content using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Plan and deliver email marketing campaigns and automated email journeys.
- Segment audiences and maintain accurate marketing databases.
- Work with designers, videographers and web developers to produce campaign assets and landing pages.
- Review landing pages and recommend improvements to increase enquiries and conversions.
- Set up and check tracking using tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager and advertising platform pixels.
- Produce clear monthly reports explaining results, insights and recommended actions.
- Attend client meetings and communicate campaign performance confidently.
- Manage multiple client accounts, priorities and deadlines.
- Keep clients informed about progress, required approvals and outstanding information.
- Stay informed about changes to advertising platforms, social media, search behaviour and AI.
- Use AI tools appropriately to support research, planning, content and campaign delivery.
- Ensure marketing activity follows platform policies, GDPR requirements and advertising standards.
Essential skills and experience
- Practical experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
- Practical experience managing Meta Ads campaigns.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Advertising or the ability to transfer existing paid-search skills to the platform.
- Experience managing business social media accounts.
- Experience creating content for different audiences and platforms.
- Experience planning and delivering email marketing campaigns.
- An understanding of the customer journey and how different marketing channels work together.
- Ability to interpret campaign data and turn it into practical recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and client accounts simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, including checking links, budgets, targeting, tracking and published content.
- A creative and proactive approach to solving marketing challenges.
- Ability to take ownership of work and follow tasks through to completion.
Desirable skills and experience
- Google Ads or Meta certifications.
- Experience working in a digital marketing agency.
- Experience using GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console.
- Knowledge of conversion tracking, Meta Pixel and platform events.
- Experience with email platforms and CRM systems such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot or GoHighLevel.
- Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimisation.
- Experience creating landing pages or working with website platforms such as WordPress.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and lead-generation funnels.
- Experience with LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads or other digital advertising platforms.
- Basic video creation and editing skills.
- Awareness of AI tools and developments in search, including AEO and GEO.
