Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support residents with their daily needs. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support residents with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence wherever possible.
- Help implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s specific needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including recording observations and any changes in residents' conditions.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, ensuring residents feel valued and understood.
- Support the delivery of home care services where applicable, including assisting with medication administration under supervision.
- Contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
Skills
- Valid driving license is desirable for roles involving home care or transportation duties.
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care services is advantageous.
- Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately while adapting to individual needs.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation efficiently.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with residents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and reliability.
