Job Overview
Select Motorhomes Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Service/Parts Advisor to join our growing team in providing exceptional customer service and technical assistance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting customers with their vehicle service and parts needs. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain an organised workspace while providing excellent service.
Duties
- Communicate with customers and assist with their service and repair requirements.
- Liaise with technicians, customers and various other departments effectively.
- Provide accurate and detailed information on technical issues and service options.
- Schedule service appointments and manage customer enquiries effectively.
- Assist customers and the workshop in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their vehicles.
- Upsell additional services and products to customers where appropriate.
- Maintain an organised inventory of parts, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and stored.
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone and in person, providing accurate information regarding parts availability and specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely delivery of parts.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries and orders.
- Stay updated on new products and industry trends to better assist customers.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge or background in automotive/motorhome service or parts is advantageous.
- Strong phone etiquette to ensure professional communication with customers.
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in upselling techniques to promote additional services and products.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
Requirements
- Full UK driving license.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in an automotive service or parts department.
- Motorhome or caravan service/parts specific experience would be advantageous but not required.
