Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Essential Requirements:
- Maths and English at Grade 4 or Level 2 equivalent.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification.
- Previous experience working within HR is ideal.
- Experience using HR systems would be beneficial.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
- Good communication, organisation and administrative skills.
- Enhanced DBS required and must be on the Update Service.
Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive and effective generalist Human Resources support to the Human Resources Business Partner and wider HR team. The role is responsible for the administration of a range of HR processes and activities, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services, accurate record management, policy compliance, and timely reporting. The position also contributes to process improvement, auditing activities, and provides resilience across the HR function to support operational continuity.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Administration & Support
- Provide administrative support across a broad range of generalist HR activities as directed by the Human Resources Business Partner.
- Support the wider HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks and HR operations.
- Assist in the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
Documentation & Record Management
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely HR correspondence relating to employee lifecycle processes and other HR activities.
- Ensure all HR documentation is recorded, maintained, and stored appropriately within designated HR systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Monitor and track HR processes, ensuring follow-up actions are completed and escalated where necessary.
HR Systems & Data Management
- Accurately input and update employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Support the effective use, maintenance, and ongoing development of HR systems and databases.
- Ensure employee data is managed in accordance with company policies and relevant data protection requirements.
Reporting & Performance Metrics
- Produce accurate HR reports, data analysis, and workforce metrics as required.
- Contribute to the achievement of departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
Compliance & Process Management
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently applied and adhered to.
- Support the auditing of HR processes and records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in monitoring and meeting agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
General Administration
- Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, document management, meeting coordination, and reception duties when required.
- Respond to telephone, email, and in-person enquiries, providing accurate information and guidance on HR-related processes.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service to employees and stakeholders.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and other relevant organisational policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the Line Manager in support of the HR function.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an HR administration or HR support role.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with HR systems and maintaining employee records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment-related processes is desirable.
Pay: From £16.72 per hour
