Senior Planning and Analytics Specialist – Performance, Planning and Healthcare Analytics
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Performance, Planning and Healthcare Analytics (PPHCA) Department for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join the Performance and Planning Team as a Senior Planning and Analytics Specialist.
This influential role sits at the heart of the Trust’s operational planning function, supporting the development, coordination, and submission of the annual operational plan while helping shape strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.
The PPHCA Department comprises three specialist teams—Performance & Planning, Analysis & Reporting, and Data Warehousing & Commissioning Information—providing a collaborative and innovative environment with excellent opportunities for professional development.
This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility while enabling you to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation. The successful candidate will require a suitable home-working environment.

Produce high-quality, accurate and balanced performance reports and analysis, including Board reports, committee papers, performance packs, external returns and ad hoc briefings.
Analyse complex quantitative and qualitative data, providing meaningful insight, interpretation and recommendations to support decision-making and performance improvement.
Attend and actively contribute to performance and assurance meetings across all three hospital sites, presenting information and providing expert advice where required.
Act as a subject matter expert on NHS performance standards, targets, definitions and reporting requirements, offering challenge and assurance to stakeholders.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of performance information, maintaining compliance with internal and external reporting expectations.
Build effective working relationships with clinical, operational and corporate colleagues to support performance monitoring, planning and service improvement.
Prepare reports and presentations for a range of audiences, translating complex information into clear, accessible and actionable intelligence.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, participating in regular team huddles, sharing best practice and supporting continuous improvement across the Performance and Planning function.
