Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter/Receptionist to provide exceptional guest services during overnight hours. This role involves ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, managing front desk operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Duties
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures efficiently and courteously
- Handle guest enquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information and assistance
- Maintain security protocols during overnight shifts, including monitoring CCTV and conducting regular patrols of the premises
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and special requests with attention to detail
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming throughout the shift
- Respond promptly to guest needs or concerns, escalating issues when necessary
- Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as required
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest service at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in person and over the phone
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices and customer service principles
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work overnight hours on a shift basis; availability for night shifts is essential
