As the first person to greet some of the pupils during their school day, our Minibus Drivers safely transport pupils to and from the school, during term time. We are looking for an additional driver for a new route starting in September 2024, through beautiful countryside and picturesque Market Harborough, to collect and drop off at a small number of specified stops to and from school.
The behaviour of our school pupils is exemplary, the bus stops are well supported by parents and our Minibus Drivers reflect the Leicester Grammar School ethos in interactions with the pupils as essential members of our team and the school community.
Drivers are asked to upkeep the minibuses on a regular basis. On occasion drivers may be asked to shuttle pupils between Trust schools or for outings during the school day. Additional hours on evenings and weekends may be available for specific school trips.
You must be aged over 21 years and have a minimum of two years driving experience. The successful candidate must hold a PCV licence category D1, or be willing to train to obtain it. You must also hold a current driving licence with no more than 3 endorsement points. It could be an advantage to hold a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Previous experience with commercial driving minibuses or coaches could also be advantageous.
This role has the benefit of being Term Time - 35 weeks a year, 28 hours 45 minutes per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime is available.

6:15a.m. 8:30a.m.
2:30p.m 6:00p.m.
Salary: £12.65 per hour. Actual pay is £14,452 per annum (paid across 12 equal instalments)
