Typical duties include assisting customers with their everyday banking needs while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Previous cash-handling experience is essential, together with experience in a customer-facing role. Good computer literacy is also essential.

About the Role
As a Banking Hub Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering excellent service to both personal and business banking customers. Customers will be at the heart of everything you do, and you will be expected to provide a friendly, efficient, and professional service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling cash transactions accurately and securely, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque deposits, and change-giving services
- Assisting customers with bill payments and utility top-ups
- Providing excellent face-to-face customer service and resolving customer queries professionally
- Liaising with visiting representatives from various banks and supporting customers with their enquiries
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, security, and confidentiality
- Completing all required training and following operational procedures
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a team
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a strong customer first approach.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of three years' cash-handling experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail, banking, or Post Office environment
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative
- A professional and calm approach when dealing with customer queries or complaints
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Applicants should ideally live within approximately 20 minutes of Stone, as the role may occasionally require opening the Hub at short notice. Being locally based helps ensure reliable travel during busy traffic periods.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous Post Office counter or banking experience
- A full UK driving licence
Successful applicants will be required to provide five years of continuous employment and/or education references and consent to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
