Job Overview
Vertika Group is looking for an Experienced Painter & Decorator to join our growing team for full-time, ongoing work across London.
We carry out residential property maintenance, refurbishment and renovation works throughout London and are looking for an experienced decorator who can work independently and consistently deliver a high-quality finish.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have professional painting and decorating experience and be confident completing jobs without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare walls, ceilings and woodwork before painting
- Fill cracks, holes and damaged areas
- Sand and prepare surfaces to a smooth finish
- Apply primers and stain blockers where required
- Paint walls and ceilings using rollers and brushes
- Prepare and paint skirting boards, doors and door frames
- Cut in accurately and maintain clean lines
- Repair and make good minor surface damage
- Protect floors, furniture and surrounding areas before starting work
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Complete work to agreed deadlines
- Carry out quality checks before completion
- Provide progress and completion photos when required
- Communicate professionally with clients, site contacts and the Vertika team
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years professional painting & decorating experience
- Own professional painting/decorating tools
- Strong preparation and finishing skills
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good attention to detail
- Good spoken English
- Smartphone for receiving jobs and providing progress photos
- Able to provide photographs/examples of previous work
- References may be requested
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
Pay & Work
£140–£170 per day depending on experience, quality and ability
