About the Role
Tree Ingeniería Engineering Solutions is looking for a Contracts Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will manage contracts from negotiation and award through completion, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, cost control, risk management, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle from tender and negotiation to completion.
- Review, prepare, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and commercial documentation.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, deadlines, and performance requirements.
- Manage variations, extensions of time, claims, and contractual disputes.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Monitor project costs, payments, valuations, and commercial performance.
- Identify contractual, financial, and operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and relevant UK regulations.
- Prepare commercial reports, contract summaries, and management updates.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, variations, claims, and other documentation.
- Support procurement and tendering activities, including the evaluation of contractor and supplier proposals.
- Liaise with legal and commercial teams on contractual matters where required.
- Ensure contractual issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- Provide guidance to project teams on contract requirements and commercial procedures.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or in a similar role.
- Experience managing engineering, construction, infrastructure, or technical contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, commercial management, and risk management.
- Understanding of UK construction and engineering contracts and relevant legislation.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts, projects, and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Contract Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, Business, or a related field is desirable.
- Professional membership or certification such as RICS, CIOB, or CIPS is an advantage.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
