Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people within the home
- Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people feel valued and respected
- Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and social activities
- Build positive and trusting relationships through patience, understanding, and consistency
- Encourage independence, confidence, and personal growth
- Follow and implement individual care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
- Record and report information accurately, including daily logs and incident reports
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes
- Transport young people to appointments, school, and activities where required
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
- Organised and reliable with good attention to detail
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
- Full UK driving licence preferred
