V&D Interiors is recruiting for a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial department working from our office in Telford. The right individual will work alongside the commercial team to financially manage projects from commencement right through to completion onsite.
The trainee will assist the commercial team to:
- Offer cost saving options to clients.
- Carry out measures of projects.
- Produce monthly cost reports.
- Carry out subcontractor payments.
- Produce monthly valuations for projects.
- Price changes on live projects.
- Compile final accounts on projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
The ideal candidate would have the below Skillset/Experience:
- Ideally educated to A-level with Excellent IT skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Experience using industry-related software such as Procore and Chalkstring is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
- Passionate and motivated to kick start a career in Quantity Surveying.
- Knowledge or experience of Drylining, Drywall or Plastering.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driving Licence
