We are a portfolio Pupil Referral Unit situated in the County Borough of Wrexham, providing education for secondary aged young people who are unable to attend mainstream school. We operate from three sites, namely Stiwdio Pen-y-Cae, Stiwdio Hafod and Stiwdio Haulfan, which specialise in supporting pupil needs relating to behaviour and mental health.
We are passionate about providing children and young people a fantastic opportunity to re-build self-confidence and esteem, in order to successfully re-engage with their learning. We have high aspirations for all our children and young people, whatever challenging circumstances they face.
Our staff team is vibrant, innovative and solution focused. We are looking for flexible and adaptable teachers who have ‘drive’ and ambition to succeed. We are looking for excellent classroom practitioners who enjoy the challenge of working with vulnerable pupils who have Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
We are looking to appoint a part time teacher of Welsh and Maths for one day per week at our Stiwdio Haulfan site for pupils with emotionally based school avoidance. Due to timetable requirements the teaching may be delivered over two half days.
