DOMESTIC REWIRE SQUAD – PRICE WORK
Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Valley Group is looking for an experienced and established domestic rewire squad to undertake ongoing price-work contracts across Scotland’s Central Belt.
We are seeking a reliable team with extensive domestic rewire experience that can deliver complete rewires safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
This is labour-only price work. Valley Group will provide the electrical materials required for each property. The successful squad will be responsible for completing the electrical installation, inspection, testing and certification.
Property sizes and specifications will vary. The price for each rewire will be confirmed and agreed before work begins, based on the property type and required scope.
THE ROLE
The squad will undertake complete domestic rewires within occupied and unoccupied properties. Work must be properly planned, completed to programme and handed over with accurate certification.
The team must be capable of managing the complete rewire process, from initial isolation and strip-out through to installation, testing, certification and final handover.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completing full domestic rewires on a price-work basis
- Working within properties of varying sizes and specifications
- Installing new consumer units, circuits, accessories and associated wiring
- Completing first-fix and second-fix electrical installation work
- Carrying out safe isolation and verifying existing electrical supplies
- Inspecting, testing and certifying each completed installation
- Producing accurate and complete electrical certification
- Identifying and reporting variations or additional work before proceeding
- Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671 and the agreed specification
- Maintaining excellent workmanship and productivity standards
- Protecting tenants’ belongings and minimising disruption within occupied homes
- Keeping properties clean, safe and secure throughout the work
- Liaising professionally with tenants, supervisors and contract-management teams
- Completing snagging or remedial items promptly
- Meeting agreed completion dates and programme targets
- Complying with all company health and safety procedures
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must apply as an established and experienced domestic rewire squad
- Proven experience completing full domestic rewires
- Experience working within both occupied and unoccupied properties
- Time-served and appropriately qualified electricians within the team
- Current BS 7671 18th Edition qualification
- Suitable inspection and testing qualifications within the squad
- Ability to inspect, test and certify completed installations
- Current ECS or SJIB cards, as applicable
- Strong understanding of domestic electrical installations
- Ability to work efficiently without compromising safety or quality
- Own hand tools, power tools and suitable calibrated test equipment
- Suitable transport to attend properties throughout the Central Belt
- Appropriate public liability insurance where engaged under CIS
- Right to work in the UK

QUALITY AND PAYMENT
All work must comply with the issued specification and current electrical regulations. Completed rewires will be subject to quality inspection and must be supported by accurate test results and certification.
Any variations or additional works must be reported and authorised before they are undertaken.
