Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Office administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, Payroll and day to day office administration. the candidate must be proficient in Xero and Excel . This is an office-based role, in a pleasant open-plan construction business office, shared with the business owners and management team.
We have tailored the working hours to fit around school pick-up and drop-off times, being 0930 to 1430. These times may be adjusted if other times suit you better within our office hours of 0800-1630, but we are looking for 25 hours per week.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using Xero accounting software.
- VAT Reconciliation.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Manage Payroll and Time sheets
- General office administration duties
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
