Subcontract Electricians and Sole Traders

AC1 Electrical Services Ltd is looking to build relationships with reliable sole traders, subcontract electricians and small electrical businesses that we can add to our supply-chain list.
We are looking for electricians who would like to be considered for:
- Diary-filler and jobbing work
- Individual ad hoc jobs
- Day-rate work
- Short-term workload support
- Public-sector electrical programmes
- Larger contracts and projects
- Additional labour during contract mobilisation
There are no guaranteed hours and no requirement to accept work. Jobs and projects will be offered as they become available, based on location, availability, qualifications and experience.
The scope, location, rate and timescale will be provided before any work is accepted.

You do not need to cover every area.

- Domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Electrical remedial works following EICRs
- Consumer-unit and distribution-board replacements
- Three-phase power and distribution
- New circuits and circuit alterations
- Rewires and partial rewires
- Fault finding and repairs
- Lighting and emergency-lighting works
- Fire, smoke and heat-detection works
- Commercial fit-outs
- EICRs and electrical testing for suitably qualified electricians
- Testing, commissioning and certification
- Planned compliance and public-sector programmes
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Relevant electrical qualifications and suitable practical experience
- 18th Edition qualification
- ECS gold Card
- Their own suitable van and tools
- Public liability insurance
- UTR and appropriate business details
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer-service standards
- Ability to provide photographs, documentation and completion evidence
An NVQ Level 3 and ECS Gold Card are preferred, but we will consider experienced electricians who are still working towards them where their competence is suitable for the work available.
Testing qualifications are only required for electricians accepting EICR or testing work.
Additional requirements, such as DBS checks, ECS cards or specific training, may apply to certain public-sector and contract work.

Pay: £250.00-£400.00 per day
