Tungsten West is restarting the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin Mine in South Devon and is seeking a Qualified Electrician to support installation, maintenance and reliability of site and plant electrical systems.
This is a hands-on industrial role supporting rebuild, commissioning and ongoing production within a major UK mining operation.
** This role requires you to pass a Drug and Alcohol test on day one **

About the Role
You will carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, installation and commissioning work across plant and site infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Fault find on motors, drives, panels, conveyors and pumps.
- Install, test and commission electrical systems to BS 7671 standards.
- Perform inspection, testing and statutory compliance activities.
- Support plant upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
- Work safely under permit-to-work and LOTO systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Time-served Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- Strong industrial electrical experience (mining, manufacturing, heavy plant or similar).
- Experience with 3-phase systems, motors, VSDs and control equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and LOTO procedures.
- Strong safety awareness and disciplined working practices.
Desirable
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in mining, quarrying or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
