D&M Building Services is a growing contractor working across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire on extensions, loft conversions, structural works, refurbishments and property development. We currently have multiple live projects running and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of our projects once a job is signed. This is a part-time role, five mornings a week.
What you will be doing:
- Taking ownership of each project once the contract is signed, through to handover
- Running our project management file for each job: programme, stage payments, action tracker and variation register
- Coordinating trades and subcontractors so the programme keeps moving
- Ordering materials and windows, and tracking lead times so nothing holds a trade up
- Speaking to clients about specifications, choices and decisions, and chasing what we need from them
- Pricing and logging variations, and flagging cost impact to the directors
- Raising stage payment applications on time as each milestone completes
- Liaising with building control, architects and suppliers
What we are looking for:
- Project management, contracts management or site experience in construction
- Confident running several projects at once and holding your own programme
- Comfortable speaking directly to clients about specification and cost
- Strong with spreadsheets and detail.
- Confident reading and working from drawings
- Full UK driving licence
- Residential extensions and loft conversions experience is an advantage, as is familiarity with building control and stage payment schedules.
