Join our dynamic team as an E-Commerce & Shop Floor Sales Assistant (Hybrid) in our busy bicycle shop in Derby, where you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences both online and in-store. This vibrant role combines the energy of face-to-face sales with the strategic oversight of e-commerce operations, offering a unique opportunity to develop your skills across multiple channels. You'll play a vital part in driving sales, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring our customers receive outstanding service every step of the way. Excellent customer service skills, an active interest in cycling, previous retail and social media experience are preferred however if you don’t have all of these but think you’re the right candidate, we’d love to hear all about why!
Duties
- Assist customers on the shop floor with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Manage online orders, processing transactions efficiently and accurately through our e-commerce platform
- Maintain and update product listings on our website using the latest Citrus Lime eccomerce software to enhance visibility and sales
- Support sales administration tasks such as invoicing, stock updates, and order tracking using Microsoft Excel, Sage, and other IT tools
- Coordinate between in-store and online teams to ensure seamless customer service and inventory management
- Handle administrative responsibilities including data entry, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office applications
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly via email or phone, demonstrating strong communication skills and professionalism
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with computer literacy to navigate various software efficiently
- Experience with Citrus Lime or other e-commerce software preferred but not essential to manage customer data and sales records effectively
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Demonstrated sales administration experience with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and time management abilities to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Adept at using IT tools for online order processing, stock management, and administrative support
- Customer service orientation with a friendly approach that enhances the shopping experience for all clients
