Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Musical Director (Singing Teacher) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead singing sessions, inspire students to reach their vocal potential, and foster a love for musical performance. Your energy and expertise will help cultivate confidence and joy among our young performers while ensuring a positive, engaging learning experience.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging singing lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including early childhood education and preschool students
- Develop vocal techniques, breathing exercises, and performance skills to enhance students’ musical abilities
- Lead rehearsals for performances, coordinating with other teaching staff and performers to ensure cohesive productions
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their singing and stage presence, encouraging continuous improvement
- Incorporate creative writing and musical theory into lessons to deepen students’ understanding of music fundamentals
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through clear communication skills and behavior management strategies
- Support students with special education needs by adapting teaching methods to meet individual requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children, including preschool and early childhood education settings
- Strong background in teaching singing, with knowledge of vocal health and technique
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and connect with young learners and their families
- Experience in behavior management and creating inclusive learning environments
- Ability to incorporate creative writing, physical education, math concepts, and childcare principles into lessons when appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to proofread educational materials for accuracy and clarity
- Prior experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities is a plus
