Personal Assistant – Billingham
11 hours per week (plus cover)
£12.71 per hour
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to support an elderly lady living independently in her own home in Billingham. This role would suit someone who is naturally caring, organised, and committed to providing person-centred support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence.
About the Role
The Personal Assistant will provide one-to-one support within the home and local community, helping to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while supporting day-to-day routines.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting with personal care and daily living activities
Assisting with light household duties to maintain a tidy and comfortable home
Completing shopping tasks and local errands
Supporting with meal preparation and general household organisation
Encouraging independence while providing reassurance and companionship
Person Specification
Previous experience supporting older people in a care or Personal Assistant role
A caring, respectful and patient approach
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality and dignity at all times
Well organised and able to work independently
Essential Requirements
A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Ability to provide two professional references
