Full-time | Van provided | Travel across the OVO South Midlands patch
The role
Working alongside a qualified plumber on domestic heating upgrades and air source heat pump (ASHP) installations. Day to day you’ll be:
- Running and jointing copper pipework — measuring, cutting, bending, soldering and press-fit
- Hanging and connecting radiators, valves and brackets
- Assisting with ASHP indoor and outdoor unit installs, cylinders and system flushing
- Lifting floorboards, first fix and second fix, making good
- Keeping the van stocked, tools maintained and the site clean and safe
What we’re after
- Practical understanding of copper pipework and domestic heating systems
- Genuine interest in ASHP and low-carbon heating — full training will likely be on offer
- Full UK driving licence (van supplied)
- Willing to travel across the region, occasional early starts and some overnight stays
- Reliable, tidy, good with customers in their homes — you’re a guest in someone’s house
Nice to have (not essential)
- Level 2 Plumbing, or working towards it
- Experience on retrofit or new build heating
- Asbestos awareness / manual handling / working at height training
