Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages, supporting the front-of-house operations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation and organisation in the kitchen as needed, supporting culinary staff.
- Deliver orders from the kitchen to tables efficiently, maintaining communication with the kitchen team.
- Support guest services by answering questions courteously and providing attentive assistance throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, ensuring proper handling and storage of food items.
- Support delivery drivers when necessary, assisting with the transportation of supplies or orders.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles such as barista, hotel, or culinary environments.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear and courteous guest interactions.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with food delivery or courier services is advantageous.
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food presentation are beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in serving and guest service.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities seamlessly. Pay: £8.00-£14.71 per hour
