ROLE OVERVIEW / DEVELOPMENT DETAILS
Join the overnight team at Discovery Dock West, a luxury residential development in the heart of Canary Wharf with around 200 apartments and first-class amenities including a concierge, gym, pool, spa and secure parking. You will be the calm, capable presence residents rely on through the night, keeping the lobby immaculate, managing access and safety, and supporting a community of busy professionals and families. With South Quay DLR, Canary Wharf Underground and the Elizabeth line close by, this is a well-connected, high-profile setting where service standards are uncompromising and every shift brings variety. Your schedule will be four nights on, four nights off, 19:00–07:00.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will deliver warm, attentive front-of-house service while maintaining vigilant oversight of security, access and building standards throughout the night. You will manage the desk, monitor CCTV and conduct patrols, handle resident requests and issues, and complete thorough logs and handovers to the day team.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Residents feel welcomed, safe and supported overnight, with prompt, courteous service at every interaction.
- The lobby and common areas remain spotless and tranquil, reflecting the development’s premium standards.
- CCTV monitoring, patrols and access control are consistent and proactive, preventing incidents before they occur.
- Accurate logs, reports and incident records are completed in real time and handed over clearly to daytime colleagues.
- Contractors, deliveries and parking are coordinated smoothly with minimal disruption to residents.
- Emergencies and complaints are de-escalated professionally, with clear communication and confident decision-making.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
- Hosting the front desk: greeting residents and guests, managing keys, parcels and enquiries.
- Monitoring CCTV and completing scheduled patrols to ensure safety, security and building standards.
- Managing access control, parking and late deliveries, and arranging taxis or assistance when needed.
- Responding to issues in apartments and communal areas, escalating and coordinating contractors as required.
- Keeping detailed shift logs, incident reports and a comprehensive handover for the day team.
- Supporting the smooth running of amenities and ensuring house rules are upheld overnight.

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
- Concierge, security or hotel front-of-house experience in a premium residential or hospitality setting.
- Confidence with CCTV, access control systems and incident reporting.
- Familiarity with building management software, handheld radios and digital shift logs.
- Exposure to fire safety, evacuation procedures or basic first aid.
- Knowledge of the Canary Wharf area and local transport connections.
