Nira Caledonia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper / Room Attendant to join our busy hotel team. This role is perfect for someone who takes immense pride in their work and is ready to contribute to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Overall Job Function
To ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are meticulously cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, in line with our Housekeeping Operating Procedures. You will also play a crucial role in quality control, ensuring consistency and excellence across our guest accommodations.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing detailed cleaning of guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Efficiently sorting and managing soiled linen.
- Maintaining cleanliness in public areas and other designated spaces as requested by the Head Housekeeper or General Manager.
- Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and effectively resolving guest problems.
- Being pleasant and courteous to guests and colleagues at all times, fostering a positive environment.
- Reporting any occupied rooms that have not been used.
- Logging and communicating all guest comments or complaints.
- Ensuring lost property is checked in immediately and accurately.
- Disposing of rubbish in the proper designated areas.
- Strictly adhering to the hotel's Safety and Health policy at all times.
- Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor or the General Manager.
Working Hours
Shifts primarily cover morning hours, and you will typically work up to 5 days out of 7. While not guaranteed, there may be opportunities for additional hours during busy periods.
