Little Street is an award winning play centre for young children, themed as a miniature version of a typical town, inspiring children to explore life in the world around them. Open 7 days a week, our leisure facilities provide a fun and educational play environment.
The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Supervisor to join our small friendly team for 1-2 days per week. If you enjoy engaging with children, hosting customers and have an eye for detail, this is the ideal role for you. The hours are 09:00-18:00 working either a Saturday or Sunday each week.
On the job training will be provided so this is a great opportunity for someone with customer service experience wanting to take on more responsibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Meeting and greeting customers.
- Active participant in the role play area, engaging with children & tidying the toys.
- Supervising more junior members of the team.
- Responsible for managing the teams in the Managers absence.
- Making and serving hot drinks.
- Taking food orders
- Cold Kitchen food / meal preparation
- Dealing with customer enquiries on the phone, email and face to face
- Light cleaning duties and restaging the play rooms..
- Carrying out daily risk assessments
- First aider on duty (training provided)
- Preparing for and overseeing birthday parties.
Skills & experience required:
- Must have some previous customer facing experience.
- Enthusiastic about working in child centred environment.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Displays ability to use own initiative.
- Responsible and reliable.
Salary: £11.25-£13.00 per hour based on age and experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
