About Us For over 30 years, Up the Creek Comedy Club has been one of London’s best-known independent comedy venues, entertaining thousands of customers every year. We have built an outstanding reputation for live comedy and are now looking to significantly expand our corporate events and private venue hire business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development professional to play a key role in driving our next stage of growth.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and highly motivated Business Development Manager to generate new corporate bookings using LinkedIn as the principal business development planning…but also using Venue Hire Sites and Direct B2B Marketing..You’ll identify and approach HR managers, office managers, event organisers, marketing teams and company directors, promoting Up the Creek Comedy Club as the ideal venue for:
- Corporate entertaining
- Team-building days
- Staff socials
- Client hospitality
- Christmas parties
- Networking events
- Product launches
- Awards evenings
- Private venue hire
This is an autonomous role, ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and turning opportunities into confirmed bookings.
About You, You’ll have: A proven track record of winning new business. Experience using LinkedIn to generate corporate leads. The confidence to deal with senior decision-makers. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A self-motivated, target-driven approach. The ability to work independently and deliver results. If you’ve previously generated business for venues, hotels, hospitality, conferences, events or corporate entertainment businesses, we’d be particularly interested in hearing from you.
This is a performance based opportunity offering: 15% commission on the net revenue generated from the business you personally secure. No upper limit on commission. Exceptional earning potential for the right person.
Unlimited first year earnings, entirely dependent on your success and the business you generate. Flexible working arrangements. For the right individual, this is an opportunity to build an excellent income while representing one of London’s most respected independent comedy clubs.
