Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner/maintenance individual to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to fabricate and assemble various wooden structures and components. The Joiner will play a key role in delivering high-quality joinery and maintenance services across the company. Working across our restaurants and our portfolio of commercial and residential properties, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism. This is a hands-on role that supports the ongoing upkeep, improvement, and development of our properties and on going developments.
- Assemble and fabricate wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials accurately to specifications.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square as per project requirements.
- Perform painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed work.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, drills, and measuring instruments.
- Experience with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with joinery techniques and principles of woodworking.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- General handy person skills are also advantageous.
- Full driving license
- Own vehicle preferred
