Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Evening Butcher – Meat Cutter to join our team. This role involves cutting, and processing meat products to the highest standards, ensuring quality for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a butchery or meat prep within a professional kitchen environment.
Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and quality standards
- Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, adhering to hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
- Assist in packaging and labelling meat products for retail or wholesale purposes
- Follow all health and safety procedures during food preparation and handling
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, culinary arts, or butchery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry
- Experience in food preparation, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is advantageous
- Strong understanding of meat cutting techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently during evening shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
