We operate in a fast-paced environment where technical credibility, structured delivery, and commercial awareness are critical to success. This role sits at the centre of our most significant projects, strengthening the interface between estimating, design, procurement, and delivery.
Reporting to the Associate Director- Electrical, this role exists to bring structure, leadership, and technical authority to the critical design-to-delivery transition across high-value HV infrastructure projects (typically £5m+).
You will lead the coordination of the electrical design lifecycle (11kV–132kV minimum), manage DNO/IDNO and client interfaces, accelerate procurement of long-lead equipment, and provide technical leadership to a team of Project Managers.
This is not a pure design role — and not a purely commercial role.
It is a delivery leadership role requiring immediate operational credibility.

Act as one of the senior electrical design authorities, providing oversight and challenge across all projects.
Review and approve key electrical design decisions and deviations.
Ensure compliance with NG, ENA, IEC, BS, client, DNO, and TO standards.
Ensure alignment between design delivery, construction methodology, commercial objectives, and programme constraints.
Programme, Cost & Risk Oversight
Ensure design outputs are safe, constructable, compliant, and delivered efficiently to support successful project execution.
