Join the team at East Grinstead Sports Club — one of the South East’s busiest and most active community sports venues.
Over the past three years we have transformed EGSC. Footfall has grown consistently, a brand new Padel Centre has opened to great success, and major investment in the site is continuing — including a full refit of our kitchen, due to complete within the next two months. Our kitchen serves a busy restaurant, high-volume match day teas, a children’s menu and a growing events programme, and supplies a number of satellite food and beverage kiosks around our large outdoor site.
We are now looking for a reliable, hands-on Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team full-time.
What you will be doing
- Preparing food to order in the main kitchen — sandwiches, salads, chips and similar items.
- Keeping on top of washing up and general kitchen cleanliness.
- Staffing one of our satellite serveries at weekends and other busy times, serving teas, coffees, snacks and hot food from our hot and cold displays.
- Providing friendly, efficient service to everyone who visits the club.
What we are looking for
- Some experience of food preparation, ideally in a kitchen or catering setting.
- Happy to get stuck into washing up and kitchen cleaning as well as food prep.
- Confident serving customers directly.
- Full flexibility, including regular weekend working.
- A reliable, positive team player.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
