Takeaway Counter Assistant – Part Time

Whitby’s Fish & Chip Restaurant is looking for an experienced Takeaway Counter Assistant to join our fast‑paced, high‑volume team.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident working during busy service periods, can maintain speed and accuracy, and delivers excellent customer service under pressure.
Job Type
- Full Time 30+ hours per week
Working Hours
- Evenings and weekends required
- Open 11:30am – 9:00pm, 7 days a week
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers efficiently at the takeaway counter
- Taking orders and processing payments accurately
- Boxing up orders quickly and correctly during peak times
- Maintaining high standards of customer service during busy periods
- Keeping the counter area clean, organised, and well stocked
- Working confidently as part of an experienced, fast‑moving team
Pay
- £13.10 per hour for all successful employees upon completion of the trial period
What We’re Looking For
- Previous takeaway, fast food, or high‑volume hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 18+ years old
