Role Overview
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Milk Production Operative to join our dairy production team. The role is primarily focused on lifting off finished products in the cold store, preparing customer orders, and ensuring products are accurately picked, stacked, and ready for distribution.
This is a physically active role that plays a vital part in ensuring customers receive their orders on time and in full.
Key Responsibilities
- Lift finished dairy products from production lines and stack into cages and onto pallets.
- Work within refrigerated storage areas (cold store environment).
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Wrap, label, and organise pallets for dispatch.
- Load and unload products as required.
- Carry out stock rotation using FIFO principles.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
- Complete production and dispatch records where required.
- Assist other production departments during busy periods.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling duties.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a food production, warehouse, or FMCG environment.
- Forklift licence (training can be provided).
- Experience working in a chilled or cold store environment.
- Understanding of stock control and pallet handling.
