Job Description:
As an Orthodontic Nurse in our practice, you will play a crucial role in assisting our orthodontists and providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Assisting the orthodontist during various orthodontic procedures, including fitting and adjustments of braces, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances.
· Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
· Taking patient records, including dental impressions, photographs, and X-rays.
· Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions.
· Providing support and comfort to patients during their orthodontic treatments.
· Collaborating with the orthodontic team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
· Dental Nursing Qualification: Valid and current dental nursing qualification.
· Orthodontic Experience: Previous experience working as an Orthodontic Nurse is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of Orthodontics: Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, appliances, and treatments.
· GDC Registration: Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
· Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, orthodontists, and the dental team.
· Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care.
· Professionalism: Display a professional and compassionate demeanour in all patient interactions.
· Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the orthodontic team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
