Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality environment, where organisational skills and guest relations are paramount. No two days are the same in this role, and flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to support other hotel departments when needed.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations efficiently, including modifications and cancellations
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and dining options
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and billing details
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared to high standards
- Process payments securely and issue receipts as required
- Uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality and guest service at all times
- Support other departments within the hotel when required to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse fluently in at least one additional language; bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated proficiency in phone etiquette and guest services
- Knowledge of hotel management software systems is advantageous
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- A friendly demeanour with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
