As a Campus Experience and Security Officer (Night), you will play an important role in maintaining the safety and security of our campus during primarily non-core hours. You will provide a visible and professional security presence, carrying out building lock and unlock procedures, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems and responding to incidents in line with established procedures.
Working closely with the Duty Manager and wider security team, you will help ensure that campus buildings, assets and individuals remain safe and secure overnight. You will monitor CCTV, alarms and other security systems, support emergency responses, assist with access requests and contractor management, and maintain accurate records of incidents and patrol activities.
This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to develop skills across security operations, emergency response, safeguarding, first aid, fire safety and control room operations, while contributing to the delivery of a safe and welcoming campus environment.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in a customer-facing security, safety or front-of-house role.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a busy environment.
- Experience responding to incidents and following established procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of people.
- Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic security systems.
- The ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
- A current SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence, or the willingness to obtain and maintain the required licence.

Contract:
This is a 39 hours annualised contract, working on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern. The shift is 20;00-08:00
Appointment / confirmation in the role will be subjects of completion of SIA licence training, including DBS check.
Interviews will be held on 15th September 2026.
Salary and benefits:
Starting salary: £34,667.18 rising to £37,413.87 per annum, including 7.5% allowance
