Front of House Receptionist
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Front of House Receptionist to join our busy Toni & Guy salon in Plymouth. This is a customer-facing role where you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional welcome while helping the salon run smoothly.
Alongside your reception responsibilities, you'll also have the opportunity to support the franchise owner with occasional personal assistant and administrative tasks. While this is a varied role, your primary focus will always be delivering an exceptional front-of-house experience.
About the Role
As the face of the salon, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing appointments, handling enquiries, and keeping the reception area running efficiently. You'll play an essential role in ensuring the day-to-day operation of the salon is seamless.
From time to time, you'll also assist the business owner with light administrative and organisational tasks, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to lend a hand where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and providing outstanding customer service.
- Managing the salon reception and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries, and booking appointments.
- Processing payments and managing the salon booking system.
- Supporting the salon team with general administrative duties.
- Maintaining client records and responding to emails.
- Keeping the reception area clean, organised, and professional.
- Assisting the franchise owner with occasional diary management, administration, and personal assistant tasks as required.
What We're Looking For
- A warm, friendly, and professional personality.
- Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Confidence using computer systems and managing appointments.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Previous reception, customer service, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
If you love working with people, enjoy being the heart of a busy salon, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Toni & Guy salon while gaining exposure to a variety of administrative and business support tasks in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
