We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Basketball Coach to lead, motivate, and develop children, young people of all skill levels. In this role, you will foster teamwork, promote healthy competition, and help players achieve their personal best. We're looking to coach to run our after school and committed also be part of our family.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging training sessions that improve players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
- Lead team practices, drills, and game strategies to maximize performance during competitions
- Provide constructive feedback to players to encourage growth, confidence, and sportsmanship
- Monitor athlete progress and adapt coaching methods to meet individual needs and goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and positive communication among team members
- Organize team meetings, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff
- Support the development of athletes’ character by emphasizing discipline, dedication, and integrity
Qualifications
- Proven sports coaching experience with a focus on basketball or similar team sports
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate diverse groups of athletes
- Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies
- Ability to develop tailored training programs that challenge athletes while ensuring safety
- Excellent leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Passion for mentoring youth or amateur athletes and fostering their love for the game
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
