Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our friendly and supportive practice team. This is a 4-session role working Thursdays and Fridays, with participation in the Friday duty doctor rota on an alternate basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to our patient population, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Applicants must be a minimum of 2 years post-CCT to meet the practice's supervision requirements. Duties
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in line with current clinical guidelines.
- Undertake routine and urgent appointments, including same-day access appointments as part of the practice duty rota.
- Prescribe medications safely and effectively, carrying out regular medication reviews where appropriate.
- Manage patients with long-term conditions and contribute to preventative healthcare and health promotion.
- Review investigation results, make appropriate referrals and coordinate ongoing patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff, clinical pharmacists, PCN colleagues and community services.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical records using the practice clinical system.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement activities and practice meetings.
- Support the training and development of colleagues where appropriate and contribute to the continuous improvement of practice services.
Experience
- An experienced General Practitioner with GMC registration and a licence to practise.
- Must be at least 2 years post-CCT to meet the practice's supervision requirements.
- Previous experience as a GP list holder is desirable.
- Experience as a GP trainer is desirable.
- Minor surgery experience and/or an interest in developing this area is desirable.
- Strong clinical, communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.

Pay: £48,000.00-£56,000.00 per year
