Silver Lining Fostering Agency is looking for a confident and motivated Deputy Team Manager to join their growing team. You will lead a young and dynamic team of social workers and support workers with direct support from the Registered Manager and play a leading role in an outstanding fostering agency.
You will be mainly home-based with occasional travel into London at our Brentford office and carry out some visits in West Midlands area. You’d need to be able to travel and ideally have access to a car.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· To play a key role in supporting the Management Team in service delivery and development
· To supervise a small team of social work practitioners and support workers
· To ensure that legislative, regulatory, national minimum standards and company requirements are met
· To hold a small caseload of complex cases when needed.
· To lead carer support group and training for foster carers.
· To take part in the on out of hours management duty rota
You will be / have:
· A social work qualification
· SWE registration
· Minimum 5 years post qualified social work experience preferably within the fostering sector
· Staff/ Student supervisory experience
· Good understanding and knowledge of fostering standards and regulations
· Full current driving license and be prepared to travel as required
